Dat The broken circle breakdown de film is die me de laatste jaren het meest gegrepen heeft, kon je hier al lezen. Ik merkte dit weekend dat dit nummer nu als single op de radio gedraaid wordt. Ik word er helemaal stil van. Dit raakt opnieuw aan alle pijn en verdriet in me, en het is bijna als met Pissin in the river van Patti Smith, dat ik er telkens tranen van in mijn ogen krijg. Ik ken geen lied in geen context (op dat van Patti Smith in de film All over me na dan) dat zo diep kerft, dat zo mijn rouwen beroert om wat verloren ging (mijn kind, bijna 11 jaar geleden gestorven, maar ook al mijn dromen, wensen,... die onvervuld bleven, en alles wat ik onderweg in dit leven -dat ik deze week 41 jaar leef al- verloor).
Soms wil ik wenen, zoals ik nooit weende. Soms wil dat de tranen komen, dat ik verdrink erin, dat de muur van de stuwdam waarachter mijn verdriet schuilgaat breekt en ik overspoeld word, beschermd in de armen van iemand die me lief heeft en bij wie ik me 100 % veilig voel...
