Zeker sinds het zien van de documentaire Parallel worlds, parallel lives over de vader van E, frontman van eels, ben ik zeer geïntrigeerd geraakt door de man en zijn muziek. De pijn van het zijn wordt zelden zo mooi en trefzeker verwoord, en zelden zo afwisselend in ontroerende en in opgewekte nummers bezongen. Ook de nieuwe single is wat mij betreft een schot in de roos...
