Enkele gratis downloads die me deze week opvielen, van Pavement en Beach House, maar ook Belgische dubstep en een drum 'n bass-nummer...
Beach House will be releasing a new album, "Teen dream", on Jan 26th. The first single of their new album is available at their website.
Beach House, dat ons eerder al het prachtige Devotion schonk, brengt eind deze maand een opvolger uit : Teen dream. Afgaande op de nieuwe single, die ze aanbieden op hun website, wordt het alvast iets bevreemdends... Je krijgt in dit nummer vaak de indruk dat de instrumenten te traag worden bespeeld, en het nummer krijgt daardoor tegelijk iets hypnotiserends én verontrustends...

Pavement will be releasing a best-of album, called "Quarantine the past", on which they will have songs from their early recordings (released on vinyl only before...) to the final recordings. There's a contest to win a ticket to a New York show, if you can guess the tracklist (some clues are included on the label's website...) A remastered version of "Gold soundz" opens the compilation, and is being offered for free as well... The release date is set for March 9th, entries for the contest end Jan 19th
Quarantine the past is het best of-album waarop zelfs enkele vroege releases van Pavement verschijnen. De compilatie zal openen met Gold soundz in een geremasterde versie, en wie de rest van de tracklist kan raden, wint een ticket voor een optreden in New York. Op de website van het label zijn nog enkele aanwijzingen terug te vinden die je kunnen helpen... Het album komt uit op 9 maart, meedoen aan de wedstrijd kan maar tot 19 januari.

Tot slot nog wat drum 'n bass van de Braziliaanse producer Ney Faustini die samenwerkte met Bungle. Hun label ging failliet, maar dat betekent wel dat ze hun nummer nu gratis verspreiden...
